Well, Beatty Days 2010 is in the rearview mirror, and the events have been put to bed for this year. By all accounts it was a great event, perhaps one of the best ever.
           Before we get to the “important” stuff, the Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all the locals who helped put the event together, with a special thanks to the employees of BGID, Neil King and Francisco “Poncho” Mendoza, Mike and Jon Harmon of the BVFD, Town Office maintenance man, Ricardo Lopez, and Valley Electric workers, Danny Rogers and his sidekick, Justin.  These hard working and energetic gentlemen were the core of the group who helped with the all important set-up and tear-down, and continued to help throughout the entire event!  You guys are fabulous, and a prime example of what can be done when a small town comes together for the benefit of the entire community! 
There were many more who stepped up to help, and to all of you: Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
           Every year the Chamber asks for donations from businesses all over Southern Nevada and Southern California, and accepts donations from vendors at the event.  These items are raffled off throughout the weekend.  This year’s items of note were the Flat Screen tv, a two night stay at Furnace Creek, a Nintendo WII, and an outdoor space heater.  In all there were 119 items raffled.  Below is the list of items raffled and the winners of these generous donations
